Anyway, just tested this on old3ds 10.7 with a downloaded cia and it works great.
It's very fast. Launches right after game boot

more exploits are always good, for the reasons zoogie posted earlier.

It's also a good idea to stockpile secondary cart exploits because
1. It covers more users that might already have a game.
2. It brings/keeps down the price of existing hax games.
3. Easier to actually find a hax game at a nearby store.
4. More open source exploits for budding hackers to learn from (so maybe less "prohax" garbage).

I think PSMD as a qrcode reader as well, but that's not what is being exploited here. having a qrcode reader != exploitable

I can tell you from my own personal experience with downgrading my N3DSXL from stock 10.7 to 9.2 that it is absolutely not useless.

I'm pretty sure this has been tried at this point. also remember crash does not equal exploit. it's very easy to crash some games like Brunswick Pro Bowling, but that doesn't mean you can easily exploit it.

thing is nintedo try to patch the entry points and not memuchunck hax cause they did not patch memuchuck hax correcly last time and it came back
