According to his wife, Stefán Karl Stefánsson's cancer has reached the fourth stage and, therefore, his life expectancy is unfortunately significantly reduced.
A cure is not in sight when the disease has progressed this far, and though there are experimental drugs and life-longing conventional and non-traditional therapies around the world, the results haven't been great so far.

Stefán Karl Stefánsson played the villain "Robbie Rotten" in the TV show Lazy Town. After a surgery in October last year, he became an internet meme thanks to the song "We are number one", which helped him to raise money to fight the cancer.

I hope the best for him, and that he gets well.
