To be frank, you never really got them for free as you had to pay for it through each and every Nintendo game unless you bought the codes from eBay or someone gave them to you for free.

Despite being 'free' it still comes at a cost.

If Zelda's OST CD comes in stock one again I'll just order it as I'm guessing there'll be nothing better than that anyway.
You buy the games regardless, as such i don't see the codes as an investment. It would be a different case if you are only interested in the club items instead of the games, however in that case buying points directly from various sites would be a cheaper approach.

I got a captain toad treasure tracker at walmart, they had a ton of wii u games with stickers from black friday(of last year) in the case with it. It was aparently a reprint and the support agent told methe same. That it was a reprint andthat they didn't do the codeson that run of the game even thogh the game's been out for awhile. Now why the fuck, nintendo would do a reprint of captain toad, but not pikmin 3 is beyond me. I guess part of it is b/c toad accepts physical dlc.

That and Pikmin 3 apparently didn't really sold well.

210,000 units on a console that was literally sitting there no one getting it sems like a really good number for us only sales. Considering at the time, the wii u wa sseen as a joke console, that no sane person should buy. Selling that many seems like a lot espeically considering whenit launched. Wonderful 101 accordingto wikipedia sold only ~3k units launch week, whereas pikmin was 93k considering that 101 is a cheap game now, and pikmin 3 is damn near impsosible to find baffles me even more.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
