Ouch. You can take it for repairs, but they will charge you, once you hack it you don't have warranty anymore, or just don't tell them you hacked it.

You installed it as a channel? That might be the problem. Corrupt channels may break your wii, there was already a topic from a guy who bricked his wii while experimenting with channel banners.

Or it just don't boot? I mean, it don't power up, or do you get to

in reply, yes that was the nfo, not sure what "do not push on" really means, the wii was completely dead!!

SOLUTION:
Yep i got it working again , i pressed both red sync buttons (on the wii, next to the sd slot) and on the controller (next to the battery) and the wii revived!!!!

Its working totally fine now .. first thing i did was uninstall the damn snes9x, pitty cause i was really curious about this software but now im really scared of doing it again....

Yey!! thanks for all your replys by the way! you guys rock.

So that's mean that you couldn't boot a wii with a controller? Wait, pressing sync buttons....

It is VERY strange, and you found VERY strange solution. But simplest solutions are always the best.

yeah it was all very strange indeed... first the wierd crash that really made it looked bricked and then the fact that pressing the red buttons on both the wii and he controler made the power light come back on and all working as it should... i dont know if it was the combination of the 2 buttons or if pressing the red button on the wii alone did the trick ... but still i did press the red button alone before and didnt work... I really got no clue but really makes me believe that the "hard reset" on a wii is pressing the red buttons hahaha. But im as confused as you hahaha

I'm leeching a bit here on your thread, but i've got a problem with the Snes9x 3.1 Lopst version, running thru Homebrew channel beta 8, it boots up, and my wiimote is connected, but as soon as i choose ANY option, i.e "load a game" , or any other option, it just crashes, with a static colored stripes all over the screen ( there's a quick text popping up, saying something with "[bad chksum]" etc, it dissapears to fast to be able to read..)

i've read around about this problem but haven't found anyone with the same problem, only those who gets that screen, because having a GC Memory card inserted, which i dont..
i really want this emulator to work.. :/
any suggestions?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
