Hacking Smash Bros JAP on EUR 3DS ?

Hi,

Smash bros JAP will be released in 15 days.

I have an EUR 3DS with gateway.
Will I be able to play retail Smash bros JAP on emunand?
If no, can I dump my Smash bros game and play with the rom with gateway?

You should be able to play it just fine if you update your Gateway to the latest custom firmware, unless Nintendo puts anti-piracy on the game. It wouldn't be surprising due to that game being their biggest 3DS game ever next to the Pokemon games.

I have an American 3DS with Gateway and I'm hoping for the best here.

Gateway should be region-free, and I have been playing USA games on my EUR 3DS XL. It should work for JAP games as well, but as mentioned; we won't know until it's released.

Yes you should be able to play it as long as Nintendo don't go sneaky by putting out another update for the 3DS or maybe SSB has a new encryption or even a new header, Card 3 for example and of course you can understand the language. I've heard also you need to connect to your Nintendo ID to use online so that maybe another stopper for peeps! No one knows really until it is released but I bet my granny something will stop us from playing it.
