No. As long as you pay attention to everything it should work nicely, though.

For O3DS, 95% success rate or so. For N3DS, 60-50% success rate or so.

Well, there is a chance that it could fail after deleting an important CIA before installing the new one, and that could leave you bricked.

Has anyone else noticed that the CIA files from that chaos site compared to the CIA files from that iso site differ for N3DS - 9.2.0-20 USA?

There are 8 of the CIA files that do NOT match. I compared and there is quite a bit of data different in these 8 CIA's.

I am only gun shy because I had issues with the CIA files for 9.2.0-20 USA for OLD 3DS (it updated the OLD 3DS to 9.0.0 not 9.2.0, and only the ones from that chaos site were correctly labeled.

Has anyone with a USA N3ds used the CIA files from the chaos site to do their downgrade?

Is a good general guideline, that will tell you what your options are, rxTools is working great for me, the threads author recommends Cakes, up to you really and what you are looking to do.

Homebrew is also covered in the guide, you'd be running browserhax initially and then installing the homebrew launcher cia later on.

I didn't know you could do a checksum of a whole folder. How?

I don't recall the tool I'm using for this sorry, maybe 7zip (it's a right click function), but you can install teracopy to check the crc of the file you're transfering to make sure nothing is corrupted while transfer

1 - Is it safe to install 9.2 update CIA files with MSET 6.X included, TWL and AGB firm patched? I updated one of my 3DS's (4.5 TO 9.2) and it was ok, I would like to know if it's ok for downgrade.

2 - What's the best way to access HBL to make this tutorial? (Browserhax, Homemenuhax etc)

SteveIce's newest version is the most stable currently, but not on N3DS. The MD5 for your file is: 6dcca8fcbc9a28c82c2a4e5182f3acf8
and the SHA-1 is: e7c77bf205137167f1f1befa0c4db9d879a21a2e
You should be better off using it, but don't complain if you did anything wrong.

Wait 30 seconds, as long as nothing else comes up on screen you are fine to manually restart and try again, mine did that plenty of times before it worked. It's when it locks after it starts reading the cia's that you've got trouble.
