"No press is bad press, right guys?"

Poor Europe, it really blows how bad Atlus treats you. I just finished the game in the spring and have to keep telling myself im not allowed to go back and play it again for a while.

np, just died 3 times tryin to get my first 3 demons xD . .

i guess lots of pain is awaiting me in this game~

Its not an easy game. I clocked just over 60 or so hours to finish this game. Pay attention to what you can unlock with Burrough's apps. They can really make the game easier on you.

Be sure you are fusing demons and keeping up wit the newest ones (closest to your level). That helps too.

There is no play style that is wrong when it comes to adding points to your MC, but when I played I chose magic points, so I could nuke monsters with elemental weaknesses. Physical works too, but you need luck and dex to make it worth it. That also makes it harder to min/max your stats early though.

Because there is a Sequel, Digital devil saga 2, it´s almost the ''Main game'', the first one is just a Build-up while the second one is more complex with everything.
I´m about 20 Hours in and there's no sign of it ending soon.

Magic Main Character is by far the best way to go. Its the easiest way to abuse the press turn system, and towards the end of the game when every demon resists goddamn everything you can just Megidolaon your way to easy victory. Youre also 0% dependent on gear which can be pricey.

You can make a physical character and do fine though as long as you dont pump strength. My first playthrough was with a pure dex gunner and it was fairly effective for the most part, just noticeably less effective than a mage.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
