ermm your not making any sense to me, do you mean there is one and it is the same, or there is a pal version and the method is the same

the safe update is universal, minus korean wiis. for some reason the "u" just seems to stick wherever it gets advetised.

I don't think an update for it will affect anything.

All it does is it probably just adds special IOS files to make the Wii compatible with Wiispeak.

It's not going to fxck up your Wii, nor will it affect the HBC and installing wads.

Don't know why everyone is scared shitless about a stupid GAME update. It's not like it's a SYSTEM update...

EDIT: And also, do you people actually think Nintendo wrote a code to block the HBC and wad installer using a game?

As I last recalled, it was the system updates that blocked those things.

Ah well, I'm getting the game Sunday. I'll do an update and see what it does.

am i the only one that uses WUM to avoid update problems?

i play a lot of games from different regions and i also play a lot of games from the US that come with updates. by using WUM and installing the SSBB update over the actual update, i avoid any possible complication. also i have never had a 001 error using this method.

loading a game through geckoOS works but if someone who isn't familiar with that process decides to use your Wii and update then you are screwed. that can't happen with WUM since the update no longer exists on the game disc you are playing.

is using WUM as efficient as i think it is?

Mkai then,

But I might forget, just PM me Sunday night/Monday.

I'll get back to you then.

But I'm sure people will spread the news faster than me.

What if I only like to play ORIGINAL games, never copies? How can I avoid updates then? The only thing I use the twilight hack for (and ever will use it for) is downloadable stuff and homebrew. I just can't stand not having the official cases and artwork with my disc based games.

why do people go on about not wanting to use geckOS, and only wanting to play through disc channel....hmm

anyway if your un-modded wii and playing originals, the other thing you could so is go on firmware 3.2 and install starfall therefore it will stop the prompt of game updates, just if you updated again, all the starfall patches get removed just like that.
