This is a little app I made for casual comparison of sd cards running on the 3ds.
More info in the readme, check it out if you want. :-)

16gb sd card for $9

Not bad. Seems most cards I've tested are around 1000-1100ms for the sequential part and 5000ms new3ds, 7000ms old3ds for the random part.
btw- you were still in the middle of the test when you snapped that ;p

It doesn't display MB/s though, you should add that. Seems like it would be an obvious feature to include :P
In my case I got 15849ms write 5323ms read on sequential, and 8801ms on random.

wow that's by far the slowest i've seen. what brand/class/size card is that and what type of 3ds? (and what app format, sorry for spamming you questions)

Samsung Evo 16GB, on a n3DS in 804mhz mode. Running from hblauncher_loader on emuNAND which might have something to do with it.

Edit:
Running from menuhax on sysNAND I got 7148ms write, 3725ms read and 5599ms random.
It seems to vary a lot though. On another run directly after that one (without restarting the 3DS/homebrew) I got 6451ms write, 3733ms read and 6946ms random.

Pretty nice homebrew, but I would really like to see MB/s displayed :)

very odd, i have a 64GB evo on 10.7 sysnand and it's about what i have in the OP screenshots. 3dsx
the cia versions i've tested and emunand trials didn't show anything unusual.

one last question, do you know what cluster size that card has currently?

edit: that's more like it :P

I used the default cluster size. I didn't think emuNAND affected the SD card speeds that much (at least when not actively doing something that accesses the NAND), so your homebrew definitely taught me something new :P

Bought it for £20 ages ago.

Used CIA build, took screenshot with NTR. I only have an O3DS.
