Hacking SD CARD FORMATTING

I was just reading the Supercard SD Tutorial and was wondering, must the sd card be formatted before i can use it with supercard?

The supercard i am using is from my pocket pc and the files are already organised in program files, games, windows and etc.

I tried puting the sd card into my supercard which then into my gba and it worked like a file explorer. However I

was doing this just to make sure the supercard works. I had no intention of testing my games on it yet. Now i do.

So does the sd card have to be formatted before i use it with my supercard? If so why?

By the way i do not own a sd card reader, i use my pocket pc which is connected to my computer. Anything wrong with that?

Your supercard only reads cards formatted in Fat16, I think but am not sure the PSP
card is formatted in Fat32. But it sounds like you already been able to read the SD
formatted from the PSP if so then it should be fine.

And I don’t get you saying you couldn’t fit everything in on one post?
You can easily fit over 100 times the text you have on one post.

I never said anything about a PSP. I said pocket PC.
And its the coding that wont fit.

And you seem to have answered your own question about the text size problem.
Just stop the colored text, it’s annoying anyway.

So PPC is formated at what?

PPC can be formatted as Fat16 or Fat32. Just try it on your SC and see if it works.
And buy a card reader. They are cheap and transfers, whether to ppc or supercard will be much faster.

I cant buy anything online. Where esle do you suggest i get a card reader?

at an electronic/computer store.....like in the US we have compusa, fry's, best buy, circuit city, and other various small computer stores.....hell you can even get it @ some office supply chains like staples and office depot.....you are in Canada according to your profiles so I am not sure what is around you. Good luck.
