/*********************/
PC Tool
/*********************/

Required: Framework.NET 3.5

If your wii do not have internet access, or if you want to download the needed elements very quicker
Use our Sciifii Offline File Downloader computer program and run it to have the files.
You need to put your sciifi configuration in the same folder of the downloader.
This tool allow you to select what you want from sciifii and will ask you for a destination folder.
It will create a folder named "sciifii" and put all the needed file into it (so the better choice is to
select the sd card when the app prompt you to choose a destination folder).
Just put them on sd:/sciifii and run Sciifii on your wii.

/*********************/
Customisation
/*********************/

Sciifii is fully configurable. To modify sciifii, you just need to modify the config.xml.
We can view sciifi like a sequencer of steps. Each steps can switch on by one or more options.

for example:

means that the step myStep can be switch on by enabling the option toto or tata.
So, of course, you need to define the options like that:

The name will be used as an identifier, the text will be displayed in the advanced menu
and networkRequired indicate if this option can be activated if the network isn't available.

The advanced menu is composed of the defined options (options are off by default).
To configure the basic menu, you need to define modes. Each mode will create an entry in the basic menu.

The text will be displayed in the menu. The options indicate wish options will be enabled if
the user choose this mode. And the flag allow you to put a flag 'on' in the configuration.
Actually, the only flag used is the 'Uninstall' (see the SystemUpdater step).

You can disable the AdvancedMode, modify the disclaimer and add an alert in the basic menu
modifying some the attributes MenuMessage, AllowAdvancedMode and the element Disclaimer.
The attribute workingDirectory indicate where sciifii need to research/put temp files (like wads)

the rev17b is the one with the DL bug fixed (ie the few bytes at the end at the second layer).

It not an official cios, it was compiled with waninkoko sources.

you don't need to use sciifii, your wii already hacked.
Yes but I can't play vc/wiiware off sd or move them back to nand so I figured that I may give this a try if all I have to do is run it.

It download a wad from nus and the install it.
If the wad is on the sd, it will skip the download (our offline tool will accept your own config.xml since your xml is correct)

Why do you want to remove stubs...
The cios installer will install the cios249.

If you reload under it before installing an ios, you don't need to remove stubs.

when trucha is restaured to 36, we restore ios 15 (which rev is 0 while restoring trucha to 36).
revision="0" means last rev
wink.gif

so
install Title 000000010000000f(ios 15) last rev

If you reload under it before installing an ios, you don't need to remove stubs.

As far as I know, to mod 4.2, the followings steps are required :

TBR -> Remove stubbed IOSs -> Installing cIOS

The "Remove stubbed IOSs" is required because 4.2 has stubbed IOS249 and, for some reason, it cannot be overwritten by installing the patched IOS249 even under the patched IOS36.

In fact, the step CiosInstaller use the IOS38-64-vxxx.wad (i dont remember the version used for that, but our pc tool will get it for you).

The CiosInstaller will himself remove the 249 stub, patch the IOS38 and install it into the slot 249.

The for all other slot, you just need to have reloaded under the ios249 to avoid revision checking.

We have worked with waninkoko for this step so don't be afraid

Edit: put this xml with our pc tool, our tool will download the needed wad for you.
