Holy crap...this thing is actually 256 megabytes...well...anyway...i looked through things a bit with the standard shift-jis table but couldn't find anything...like, nothing at all...i haven't played the game yet, so i'm not sure if the text is graphical or not. is there a lot of text in this game? 'cuz if there isn't, then there probably is no point in translating it.

All of the story, the tutorial information and most of the information on the cards seems to be stored as text.

Some of the card information is (unfortunately) in image format but a lot of the stuff that's hard to work out for a non-Japanese player (for example: the special abilities of cards) is text.

If the list of card names could be found, I think I would be able to translate those as they're Chinese names but I can't help with anything in Japanese or with the romhacking itself.

I would honestly love to translate this game. But...I am currently busy translating 3 games and with school stuff. I don't even think I will even be able to touch this game for months. I just hope someone picks it up.

The header in their custom format is bugging me.It's not compressed but the text below is.Easy solution? Maybe....But I don't have the time to do it myself though.
I was kinda hoping you would take this up but with the amount of projects you currently have on tap its alright. figured it was worth asking!

Ok first of all I thought the new DS game wasn't out yet? And isn't it Japanese region locked? Also I have some questions which I posted on gamefaqs:

Anywhere to Purchase these arcade machines?

I played sengoku taisen for the first time at Gameworks after hearing about it and waiting for years. and then heard about all these other awesome games CCG too. It's freaking rediculous that the only one you can get is Sengoku Taisen for JP DS so I would have to import the system and the game just to play it. Oh yeah and the cards too. Sooo I was wondering if there was anywhere where you can order and buy these machines?

This series has been going on in Japanese arcades for almost 20 years now, its the biggest Sega success after Yakuza since 2005.

And this Japan only DS port is still the only way to play it

PLEASE SOMEONE TRANSLATE IT. IT MUST BE REALLY GOOD

    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

Its actua!ly just a old joke, meaning its slow. Was just kidding around with you.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

    Some temporary storage

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

Not to mention this would be a massive pain to pirate

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
