Just tested it (full install over delebile's fork) without issues...Reading other posts I was not in a mood to risk only stage2 update and end-up with a potential brick.
Thx Aurora
I switched from Delebile's Fork to Aurora's one so I made full install but yes, since I'm now sticking to Aurora's Fork, I will only do stage2 update if needed. If you full installed with it, you are safe to update stage2 since it is from the fork you used to full install, but well, should better to wait anyway xD
Do you mean FIRM1 or FIRM0? I dont recall a FIRM2...Its discussed in arm9 thread. The purpose of the feature is to restore firm2 if it bricks. Atm to set it up it requires a hard mod to inject the payload.
THIS might make me switch to A9LH. Still not sure yet.
https://github.com/AuroraWright/arm9loaderhaxWhat forks do you guys use for a9lh?
I just complied the noscreeninit branch. And the SHA256 of two output files are the same as yours.I might have a dumb question but I'll ask anyway.
How could I be certain the current commit of Aurora's fork of a9lh is in a stable state AND that I compiled it right?
Here is what I compiled from the 034620e (noscreeninit branch) commit:
Payload Stage1 SHA256 - B2C70F5388451CA21B50807E512B85D20FF034BD28CCF67F7838ED701D0C538D
Payload Stage2 SHA256 - 6644C6BAE6922D611E801BA7D4AFEAA8187C4EFFFB7D5F2BE1B654E958D478B9
Only updating stage2 is high risk.Is it safe to do a full install over a already existing installation? And still unsure if I should get Fix94's fork, or Aurora's with or without screeninit
Lol, yes, firm1.Do you mean FIRM1 or FIRM0? I dont recall a FIRM2...
Also, could you possibly link me to the post that explains how to use the HOME button implementation?
It's only the installer that differs, this one is much safer.Sure. release it the day after i put a9lh on my o3ds. is there any reason to switch to this one or is just the installer that differs? ty Aurora!
Using this installer is the safest method. So after seeing many bricks, what is the safest method? Also, what is the best A9LH fork?
