Well, I ran a search through the exe and found the compressed strings, I'll see if the data around them matches the rest of the original arm9.bin, but I feel like it'll be way too much of a hassle to patch something like that (assuming there will be updates in the future or stuff like that, it's already kinda buggy for some people so I actually hope it gets an update).
And the main menu is probably images like you say, at the very least the text is much more high resolution compared to everything else, I'm still sifting through the assets to see if I find them anywhere, but only time will tell.

EDIT: I read something wrong, if both are uncompressed, then I actually found the uncompressed strings in the exe, but with the incorrect table
