This is quite a mild punishment for being caught cheating at a tournament with actual prize money.
Shouldn't that usually result in being disqualified instantly (meaning no prize money at all instead of just a measily 20% cut)?
In their defense the "cheating" was absolute bullshit. They put a giant screen up for the audience that shows all the players at all times and is within view of all the players. Instead of just investing in a goddamn wall or something to shield it from players, they chose the "honor system". There's still a big ass screen showing everything happening, honor system or not, you're gonna look at it one time or another.
It's not like it was some intricate network of secret spy cams to screenlook, it was an oversight by the designers of the tournament area.
