TBOI is closed source and already has a commercial port for the N3DS, making a homebrew clone is just not right. If you want to port a dungeon crawler I suggest looking at witch blast which was inspired by TBOIOk yes that sounds logic. And yes i mean The Binding of Isaac, when someone want to port it please the 1.666 (newest version)

You only learn how to program by doing it. I recommend you learn something like C because if you start learning lua you will either lose interest in coding or get stuck on a problem that can't be solved with lua and will be forced to use something else.I would port it when i know how...
