I think he mistyped. If you played a game with 7.X or more save encryption on 7.X-9.X, then the save will corrupt if you try to play it on less than 7.X system version ie. 4.X-6.X. So your pokemon save is probably already lost my friend. You can try restoring your nand backup of when you were on 7.2 to see if it will still run.I used to play on sysnand 7.2.
Do you mean they will be corrupt forever on the cartridge or just unplayable on emunand?
Edit: Just so you know, it doesn't matter what version your emunand is. Save encryption depends on your sysnand, so if you went below 7.X then all your other games that use 7.X save encryption will say they are corrupt; some games even delete its save when it thinks it is corrupt.
Edit 2: Just to clarify a bit more lol: even if it says that your save is corrupted, it could mean that it is just unable to read your save due to different save encryption (although some games actually delete the save right away, as mentioned above). But otherwise, you may be able to still retrieve a save if you bring your sysnand back to 7.X or greater.
