Hidden ability is linked to iv's, to change the hidden ability you have to change iv's.

You are confused man! Investigate about the "Hidden Ability" and "Hidden Power".

When you load the PKSM through HBL, you have to select Pokebank instead of your game, then after that the PKSM will load up allowing you to select the game

Nope. People can't read FAQ in my github.
1) If you're on ANY firmware that is not 11.0, you have to select Pokemon Bank.
2) If you have 11.0, you have to wait for a fix.

Also, I officially grant support on the latest firmware, old firmwares become obsolete: OFW 10.7 doesn't have PASLR

Nope, 10.7 should work, but it does not have PASLR, that makes using Bank pointless. Sometimes you need to understand what you're doing, this is still a bit tricky and is totally different from following a guide, for example.

Btw, this adds to the list of things that should be fixed but I don't know how

Honestly, if you're on 10.7 you should just downgrade and install a custom firmware.

You won't need to worry about any of this not working from homebrew launcher, selecting bank rubbish, playing cat and mouse as Nintendo introduce security measures to try to stop us editing our saves and such.

We don't need to bypass them, we just disable them completely. Here's the PKSM experience on CFW:

Install PKSM to homescreen, open PKSM, select Pokemon game, edit, save, exit, go bank to playing Pokemon. Repeat.

Umm, last I checked pretty much anything that is used here falls under the grounds of "illegal" Don't understand what the big issue is. If your sense of right and morality is calling then maybe this is the wrong place for you.
