I would like you to recommend me some others (preferably PS3 exclusives) based on my current collection. I have to point that I'm not a huge fan of FPS, I got the resistance trilogy because a friend of mine told me it was good. Thanks!

Hey, I'm new to PS3 too, I bought the super slim when it came out. It seems you kinda like narrative oriented games, so maybe you'll like Heavy Rain, the Walking Dead, Back to the Future, LA Noire, Red Dead Redemption, GTA IVand the upcoming GTA V, Beyond Two Souls. I believe The Last of Us is also heavy on narrative and so is Bioshock Infinite--but it's an FPS though. Both TLOU and BI are bloody violent.

If you could tell any details, I can help more. As for me, I found out games thru Amazon reviews (check out both US and UK Amazon for many and varied user reviews) and also by looking up specific developers'--namely, developers who make games I like--portfolio on Wikipedia.

You might also want to finish some of your collection first before looking for new ones in order to avoid game fatigue and huge backlogs :)

Extra: in addition to reading amazon reviews, check out gameplay videos particularly complete walkthroughs (intro, middle, ending especially). These can help you experience the game more and relate to the review--plus, what better reviews from people who are actually playing before your eyes.

These games look to be perfect for you:

Skyrim

Mass effect 3

and lastly, Dark souls

Under no circumstances should anyone play Skyrim on the PS3, EVER! The loading times are horrendous (sometimes upwards of 1.5 mins), which really affects gameplay, I found myself avoiding exploring the world because I didn't wanna wait. Also saving is a pain (that takes a bunch of time too). I'm currently playing it on my laptop (which has an SSD) with a PS3 controller and it is so much better.

I will second The Last Of Us, the Uncharted Series and the Infamous Series... those are must plays.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
