Hello, could do with some help. I'm trying to set up the R4 Original card so my younger brother can use it on his "New" 3DSXL. I'm probably setting it up wrong so I'd greatly Appreciate any advice on what I need to do.

The SD card contents to me look fine, what are you using to run the card and what happens when you try?

I'm using R4 Wood 1.62 and the device not recognizing anything is in the card reader. I tried it on my old DS lite and it works fine, no issues

I'm stuck at a dead end. I have a whole bunch of old R4i-Gold cards with a bunch of spare SD cards.

I've tried searching up for the firmware from the following sources:
(From OP) - www.r4i-gold.com - DEAD
(From "master" website) - www.r4ids.com - DEAD
(From box it came in) - www.r4i-gold.cn - DEAD
(From Google) - www.r4i-gold.eu works up to the loading screen. Then freezes.

These people have a twisted sense of business to have so many clones. And then die without a trace. Help.

Update:
So I went to the master Flashcart firmware database to look up all the list of R4 firmwares that has ever existed. I loaded up the R4i-Gold with every Gold variant from the database. None of them worked.

The errors I got were:

• "? Menu?" in an SD card image
• "Error" in an SD card image
• "Loading..." and freezes there (from r4i-gold.eu)

The extra piece of info I got is that R4.dat may be a necessary file for this R4 clone. But I can't figure out what to do next to get this to work.

Now my R4 card is back to life and i'm able to play DQ 4-6, DQ7-8 on my N3DS yay~
System: N3DS 11.2J A9LH/Luma 6.6
NDS card: R4 Upgrade Revolution SDHC carts (www.r4i-sdhc dot com)
replace R4 firmware with DSTT (as it's a clone).
DSTT Launcher works!

Does dslinux work? I got a problem with it w/ the exact same card.

I have a DSTT card, and I downloaded DSTT Launcher and followed instructions.txt

I installed the Stage2 Launcher to NAND via CIA, and I have Luma 6.0

I insert my DSTT card with the appropriate SD card contents and launch the Stage2 Launcher and all I get is the "LOADING" screen with two white screens.

What should I do?

**EDIT**: Nevermind, it seems to be working after i cleaned the contact pins on the DSTT card. Thanks!

got my itouchDS to work with https://gbatemp.net/threads/itouch-multiboot.128351/ booting into sakura using M3DS Real Launcher
i only tested one game (Advance Wars Dual Strike) was working without any error so far

wasnt able to get my M3DS Real to run with any version of wood or Launcher though luckily i won that itouch in a forum a looong time ago and since i already had the M3 at the time i never actually used it ... until now

Most games didn't work for me on M3DS real with m3 sakura, some games did though. I solved this by using NTR Launcher instead, now everything works. I can't be happier . I got an old EDGE DS Flashcard, is it possible to use this?

Trying to use an original r4(wood) but when I open the app it just shows nothing, I can see icons for micro sd, slot 2, and a folder icon but there's no text, it's just the icons animated with a black background, even trying to open them opens a textless window, the folder is just empty. Works on my ds lite however, how do I fix this? I've tried keeping it pushed in as well

edit: weird, I had it pushed, let it go and kept it in normally, and started to work. Guess I was doing it wrong, woohoo!
