I have a question regarding whether or not it's possible to place a physical GBA cartridge in Slot 2 and then load a .sav file that is saved on the R4 onto the game in slot 2. If there is any way to do this I would much appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction of figuring out exactly how.

How would I take a .sav file and put it on the cartridge? It's straightforward enough to extract the .sav, not so much to replace it with another. Can anyone help explain exactly how to do that? It's a bit confusing to me the way it's laid out.

For some reason when I dump the ROM it doesn't load up on VBA. Also, it seems that the save game I'm trying to use for pokemon emerald is 64k but the save game on my cartridge is 128k.. therefore it won't allow me to replace the save file that I am trying to. Any suggestions?

Looks like you have a pirate copy, these usually have different size saves, and dont run in emulators. Google a guide on how to find out if your game is a pirate one, and check it out.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
