Hacking PsX games on PSP Go not full screen?

Well I follwed the tut to put PSX games on PSP with the converter and such.... And it worked in the end but 2 giant blocks on right and left of the game and 2 small lines at top and bottom of screen is not being used. Is this always like that for PSX games on psp?

Press Home and go into the settings to change the screen. That's a few presets, and IIRC a custom stretching/sizing mode (I haven't used it, the presets are fine for me).

It will look kind of bad when you use the stretched screen settings, especially on more blocky PSX games.
