Hey, so I'm kinda new to this whole 'patch' thing, and although I have used the fan translation to play through Ace Attorney Investigations 2 by just patching it to a Japanese ROM, I was wondering how it would work with this game. Would I have to buy DGS and somehow patch the file, as I can't seem to find any ROMS on the internet. And last I heard R4s can't play 3DS games. Sorry if this is a basic question, just wondering. Thanks in advance!
Please don't discuss piracy in this thread. We asked this of people many times already. We want you to buy this game if you want to play it, and we haven't yet announced our patching methods...

Oh sure, sorry! Didn't realise you'd been saying this. I'll definitely be sure to buy a copy (was gonna do it anyway xd). Can't wait until it's released!

I hope to play it legally too, I want to support Ace Attorney all I can. Just take my money Capcom and release a localized DGS series :<
Even if I am able to play this game with fan translation, I'd still buy the official version, if there is one. Since the localization team would have a different set of dialogues

Hi, so this is my very first time on this Website and I haven't really done anything here yet, I'm totally unexperienced. I'm just here to say: I love Ace Attorney, and I want nothing more than a fan translation. If I can still hekp, I'd love to! I'm from Germany, but I'm fluid in English. So if you still need people - I'd love to help. If there's a thing like private messages here, it'd be cool if one of you guys could message me so I can be sure I'll see that this was replied to (because I might be too stupid to check here regularly enough).
Thanks!

This is likely THE GAME I want to play on my 3DS. Only this game (maybe DGS2, but maybe it's for NX, so idk), but now all I want is to play this game. Takumi press CAPCOM to have an official release please!

By the way, I did in fact have contact both with Takumi and someone from the localization team (because I REALLY FUCKING CARE ABOUT THIS GAME) and they said they can neither do something nor tell the exact problem with the localization.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I went and bought a japanese import of DGS just because of this translation. I hope you're making some good progress and I wish y'all luck :)

There are a few clues:
1) They don't expect a game with that many references to Japanese history/culture to sell well in the west - localization costs a lot of money
2) The Doyle estate would expect royalties for this game (see other works involving Sherlock Holmes), which would lower profits even further
3) Again: localization hell - how do you expect them to fit this game into their existing localizations? This is why we decided against changing names and places - it doesn't work. Also, there are characters and references we're still struggling with on how to deal with them.

I mean, yeah, but still - thanks much, localization people?? Like, couldn't they just... try, at least? After the crossover and the anime, the game got so much attention... I just really hate Capcom for doing this to me ;-;

It's a for-profit company. If it doesn't generate profit, they won't do it. How else would they pay their employees?

    plus if you're making brownies or lava cakes for people with dairy allergies, you should use oil instead of butter anyway

    I make rum cake for 4th July every year, I make it a week prior and then soak it in rum in the fridge all week. I flip the cake each day, and add little more rum, it soaks it up everyday, so good.

    Me and wifey was deciding on our next vacation, so I hung up a map on the wall, and give her a dart and said, wherever you hit, we will go. She threw the dart and it missed the map completely and fell into a trash can below on floor. So I said "ok Florida it is."
