Good to day to everybody, hope you're doing well today. and sorry this post is gonna be lengthy a little bit.

so I got my hands on a PSVita version 2000 or what's called. I followed tutorials to install enso 3.65 and autoplugins and nodrm and other things so I can play a specific game as far as I know it was a success, I downloaded two games by pkgj (FEZ and Limbo) tried them, they works fine.

today I wanted to free up my sony psvita memory card by going into vitashell and pressing select and accessing from PC and cut and pasting game folders from the app folder to my pc manually, I know it was a dumb idea but I used to do this a lot with my 3DS it was a lazy way for me to keep all my games and saves the moment I want to play them I re-insert them into memory card and play without installing or anything.

SO I left pc cutting and pasting three games and when I returned I found an error in Vitashell on my psvita. I'm not sure whether there was a disconnection when copying from the cable or something but since then I can't access to any application on the vita, neither vitashell, nor h-encore nor copy content or any game anymore (I have few legal games like persona4) every single application shows an error of C1-xxxx-x, what bothers me is that the errors are sometimes different you can see some in the pictures I took in the link below.

so what it looked to me like the PS memory card is corrupted I didn't want to format it because I thought its gonna mess up the Enso 3.65 so I tried few things :
- Rebuilt Database
- It says failed to mound ux0 is a memory card inserted? when I tried to unmount from henkaku menu
- I tried physically cleaning the PS memory card
- I can access copy content with USB cable when I don't have my memory card inside the vita.
- I can't delete any application or game it gives me an error C1-xxxx-x

So I thought my memory card is corrupt, honestly I don't mind formatting it but I have no idea how much modding I'm gonna lose, how I should format it and what I should re-install after it (h-encore, ...).

Sorry again for the relatively lengthy post, I didn't want to leave any detail. I hope I didn't forget something. cheers

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

Not to mention this would be a massive pain to pirate

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
