Posting a System Check

Users can link to this guide so they don't have to write instructions on posting a SysCheck over and over. This is not a place to post your SysChecks, it's just a guide.

Creating a SysCheck.
  1. Extract the contents of SysCheckME.zip to the apps folder on your SD card or USB Hard Drive.
  2. Insert your SD card or USB Hard Drive into your Wii and turn it on.
    1. If you don't have an SD card or USB, you can still launch SysCheck as long as the Wii has WiFi. Just open SysCheck's boot.dol with ModMii (e.g. drag and drop syscheck's boot.dol onto ModMii.exe)
  3. Load the Homebrew Channel.
  4. Launch SysCheck ModMii Edition and choose to scan all IOS's.
  5. If SysCheck is stuck on one IOS for more than 5 seconds, it's frozen. Make not of the number it froze on and see Troubleshooting.
  6. Once it's done, press HOME to exit.
    1. Or Press A to upload your syscheck to the cloud. This is useful if you don't have an SD card or USB Hard Drive.
Posting your SysCheck.
  1. Turn off your Wii and put your SD card or USB Hard Drive into your computer.
  2. Open up "device:\syscheck.csv" with notepad
  3. Press Ctrl+A to select everything. Now press Ctrl+C to copy everything.
  4. Make a new post (in the appropriate thread) and create spoiler tags. Click between the "][" like so:
    SysCheckSpoilersNew.gif

  5. Press Ctrl+V to paste the contents of syscheck.csv between the spoiler tags.
  6. Save your post.
Troubleshooting
  1. Open up the SysCheck ModMii Edition meta.xml file with a text editor, preferably Notepad++ or Wordpad.
  2. Look for the "<arg>--skipIOS=0</arg>" line near the bottom of the file.
  3. Change the "0" to the IOS SysCheck HDE froze on.
  4. Save your changes and try running it again. If you are prompted about loosing format changes, save anyway.
  5. If it freezes on another IOS, duplicate the previously mentioned line in meta.xml and add the new IOS number.

Having some problems with this console , i tested PES 2013 in CFG USB Loader and it froze on blackscreen .
Installed some VC in Uloader, sometimes they freeze . I think this console had Darkcorp , too many IOS have the Trucha Bug . How do i clean it ?

PS : I'm doing everything in b/w because my 4k Samsung doesn't speak AV :/

You are indeed correct, it appears to have DarkCorp / cioscorp installed. The easiest way to remedy this, is to install/use modmii for windows from modmii.github.io, then drag and drop your syscheck.csv onto modmii.exe and it will tell you what to do. The directions will also have u reinstall the hbc such that it will use IOS58 instead of ios61

Edit: also this
I like how I wrote "This is not a place to post your SysChecks, it's just a guide" at the top, and literally over a decade later I'm still getting notifications about people posting their SysChecks here.

I have two problems now after experimenting with rvloader. Since i "uninstalled" it my disc drive doesn't spin anymore. Means, the regular wii menu is unable to read discs (but it isn't broken because ctgp can read the disc correctly) and my homebrew channel is now upside down. And i dunno why. But here is my syscheck (for the case it helps).

EDIT: The problem with the homebrew channel is fixed. I reinstalled it via the hackmii installer. Just the "problem" with the disc drive remains.

Your usb is formatted as fat?
Nevertheless, you can just save it to the sd instead. And copy it to your drive with Wiixplorer (if it can read fat that is)..

Good Morning.:)

Do you maybe have an SD Card - FAT / FAT32 formatted?

I've ordered a new SD card but I'm stuck with using a USB2 Hard Drive at the moment. The hard drive has 2 partitions, one is NTFS that is just for media storage. The 2nd partition is FAT32 with my apps folder and syscheck is run from that, launched from inside the homebrew 1.1.0 channel.

The "Issue" is the syscheck will saved on the first available...in your Case an NTFS Device.
If I remember correct from my personal Experience, the Size of the Device makes the difference. So it is maybe not because of NTFS but your HDD is maybe too big for the sysCheck Tool (for most of the Homebrews).

You can maybe try an USB Stick / Drive with 2 - 8 Gb too.:)
By the Way,do you have used the sysCheck Tool from the first Post from this Thread ?

Yes, the syscheckhde version from the first post. I also tried the original syscheck from 2012 and it also gives the same error. The hard drive I have is a 120GB 2.5inch Toshiba StorE steel. The fat32 partition is 21GB, the NTFS partition 90GB.

Can you maybe try an small USB Stick (4 - 8 GB) formatted with FAT/FAT32 ?
