I haven't had a look at many things so far, but it looks like they reorganized some things. Despite the fact that they added content to the game, one of the main regions of memory actually moved quite far backwards in memory instead of forwards.

Things that Used to be in the 439DXXXX area are now in the 437CXXXX area..

Man, that really sucks. Sorry to hear about your codes not being version independent, I know you were working hard on trying to make them that way.

A page or two back I had suggested a " bomb power, and size " code and you gave me a range. So now, instead of the range you gave me, I should search say, 437CXXXX - 43A0XXXX ? Also, would it be 8, 16, 32 bit? or does that matter?

Based on one of my pointers that actually worked over the update (lol) that memory range moved to starting at 4368F5BC.

So maybe search 43680000 to like 436A0000

Here is the pointer that points to your sphere bomb timer:

[[0x101C1D40] + 0x2564] + 0x2B8

the square bomb timer would be

[[0x101C1D40] + 0x2564] + 0x2D0

how soon can we get the resistance and guardian power codes?

how long does it take to update codes?
normally anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. However this update is super annoying because most if not all of the pointer structures changed. Which means i have to pretty much remake most codes from the ground up.

EDIT: ive finished those codes now. Ya Welcome

Here's another obscure Breath of the Wild code request for @skoolzout1:

Could you make a code that resets all progress in the Shield Surfing minigame / Selmie's Cabin?

I found out that the shields you win from Selmie disappear from her cabin as you win them.

I'd rather leave them all hanging up in there, rather than end up inevitably wasting them.

Unfortunately, I've already won at least one...

Probably too obscure of a request, but I figured I might as well ask.

It might be doable but i already completed her entire quest, so i wont be able to do it now unfortunately.

I didn't know anybody liked that code lol. Ill update it for 1.3.0 sometime in the future. Hopefully soon. I probably wont be able to make it entirely version free.

Can anyone who still has version 1.2.0 or older of Breath of the Wild help me with this? I'm trying to make a version free pointer that points to name of the first weapon in Link's inventory slot (in UTF-8).
I've gathered a list of pointers that should hopefully work on any version, here they are:

[[0x0FEC6880] - 0x2A4] + 0x2D8
[[0x0FFE25BC] - 0x218] - 0x3BD
[[0x10A28268] + 0x3F0] + 0x0
[[0x10A284C4] + 0x194] + 0x0
[[0x10A28518] + 0x284] + 0x0
[[0x10A28544] + 0x234] + 0x0
[[0x10A28590] + 0x1E8] + 0x0
[[0x10A285E8] + 0x2D0] + 0x0
[[0x10A285F4] + 0x2C4] + 0x0
[[0x10A28720] - 0xC8] + 0x0
[[0x10A28774] + 0x28] + 0x0
[0x10A28784] + 0x0
[[0x10A287A0] - 0x28] + 0x0
[[0x10A287EC] - 0x74] + 0x0
[[0x10A28844] + 0x74] + 0x0
[[0x10A28850] + 0x68] + 0x0
[[0x10A2897C] - 0x324] + 0x0
[[0x10A289D0] - 0x234] + 0x0
[[0x10A289FC] - 0x284] + 0x0
[[0x10A28A48] - 0x2D0] + 0x0
[[0x10A28AA0] - 0x1E8] + 0x0
[[0x10A28AAC] - 0x1F4] + 0x0

Can anyone with versions older than 1.3.0 test if any of these are working on their versions? They should point to an address that holds a value of 57656170 or "Weap" in UTF-8. Which is the start of the name of the weapon in the first inventory slot. If it's taking too long to find one that works, you can use @skoolzout1 's Hex Dump Pointer Checker/Follower to burst read the list of pointers above and check them all, but you will have to create a memory dump from 0C900000 to 11000000 (that's the range I used to find the pointers). If any of them do work, please let me know!

EDIT: Just restarted my game and tested them and none of them worked, ignore this comment! lol

Already ahead of you.

[[[[0x101C1D40] + 0x2580] + 0xB24] + 0x40] + 0x10

Ya Welcome ;)

Also make sure you have the latest version of my pointer follower. I fixed an issue last time that made some pointers be considered invalid and therefore removed from the list.

(I learned that the Hex character 0x1A signifies the end of a file, so any address with a 0x1A in it was read as the end of the file and made the pointer invalid lol)

You need to update your TCPgecko. Open Jgecko and click the external tools button and click TCPgecko Installer at the top, itll download the latest version for you to put on your SD card
