Homebrew [poll] (sorry) how much time do you spend online, and did you get banned?

My hypothesis is that Nintendo's detecting and flagging virtually every system, but only banning the subset that spends the most time online. My reasoning is that Nintendo considers a loss sale to simply mean a lack of revenue, but those games then going online to be a deficit as their server resources are consumed without the payment of a game to back it.

Well, there's a fairly simple check.

Outside of downloading the DLC for Monster Hunter and sometimes trading on Pokemon, I am never online with the my 3DS.
My main system wasn't banned, but a Goat system I setup to be banned was banned. Then I removed the ban and I am waiting for it to get banned again

Goat is an old3DS running B9S and a private CFW. It's currently running online with FBI just kind running and every couple of hours I turn off the system and turn it back on. Then I check MK7 to see if I am banned. I use MK7 because it's the fast method, being that it shows you are banned within seconds of checking the Nintendo Network

I see..thanks. Isn't the fastest method to check the friend list? Or you are testing the "if I connect to online multiplayer I get banned faster" theory?

Yes, but I can also view the friends list offline (which gave me a false negative before.) So I am just using the one that gave me accurate results the fastest.
I should add that the method I am using I found to be the fastest and accurate method from my experiences

Humor me on this, when did you set up that goat system for a ban, and when was it banned? I understood that it got banned, and then you unbanned it and are currently waiting for a new ban, did I get it right?

It was setup to be banned on Friday morning, then I slept a few hours and checked it. It didn't appear banned upon the first test (checking friend's list,) then rebooting the system and letting it connect, followed by testing Mario Kart 7. From there I got the legendary error code after one a few seconds of trying to connect to the online multiplayer. I also went and tester Pokemon Y for the sake of being completely sure and was indeed banned. So it was banned either when I was a sleep or after rebooting the system. Regardless, it was banned on Friday.
Later Friday night I dumped a seed from another goat system and setup my system be unbanned. Once unbanned I checked MK7 again and was able to get online, same with Pokemon Y. Since then I've been leaving the system alone and checking it every couple of hours. Checking is basically hard resetting the system and letting it connect online before checking MK7.
BTW, went and checked Goat, still unbanned.

I spend 0 time online, in fact I always kept my wifi switch off because in secret, Im a convict who originally got poke banned and I'd rather keep my lfcsb safe lol
I've been into the Wii U for a long time and stopped touching my 3DS. Overall I dont believe I'm safe, Im as risky as everyone else here.

I can't even go online since i'm on 11.2, however I can go check the friend list without any alerts of any sort.

my usage of line is kinda Skewed i had a habbit of more leaving Wifi on and used over teh network CIA installations FBI+ Boop/using Netflix the browser or YT more than i spent online in Pokemon or Fantasy Life. (my doctor's Office offers free Wifi in the patient rooms and the waiting area, its slow but enough to watch the SD-Quality on the 3DS w/ only buffering half thru a typical episode [ ughh you could have an appointment there right at 9AM, and still get home by 6+PM @_@ worth it for having a Physician that actually cares about you over one that sees you as another slab of meat) the only online things i've done within a 2 week period befoer the Banwave was pretty much dupe'ing a few pokemon for friends and using the YT App in the car while working on it outside (AUX in on the stereo)
