Wow a almost complete translated patch just a day after the release. (Even that this was planified long ago) Still cool

Thanks for all who worked on the patch

btw... Whats the difference between Localized patchs and katakana patchs?

Localized is our names for the Pokemon, Katakana is Japan's names for pokemon.

Also, I ain't reading through 12 pages of posts while GBAtemp is superslow, but is the anti-freeze patch going to be in this as well?

No, the anti-freeze patch is not included. If you want to use that, you must apply the translation patch FIRST, and then the anti-freeze.

The anti-freeze patch can be found here. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DFROSF40

Please not that it is not perfect.

Thank you Raqib12 for the generous reply!

I'm happy to hear that the NPC if not all names will be translated!

Also, when you're done translating everything you wanted, you could always touch up the final patch every now and then when you have free time for those minor things?

I'll list all the HG/SS only Balls and Key Items (that I know so far) just for reference.
Balls:
Heavy Ball
Level Ball
Lure Ball
Friend Ball
Fast Ball
Moon Ball
Love Ball

Key Items: (I'm not sure if there is room to change the color (like ylw) to Yellow; your call)
Red Apricorn
Blu Apricorn
Ylw Apricorn
Grn Apricorn
Wht Apricorn
Blk Apricorn
Pnk Apricorn
----------------
Silver Wing
Rainbow Wing
Poké Doll
Machine Part
Pass
Mystery Egg
Secret Potion
Red Scale
Underground Key
Card Key

Thanks again for the patch. Others might have a patch out a little quicker, but good things happen to those who wait.

Raqib12, I don't know if this is already said but why not work together with KazoWAR.
Because why have 2 English translations instead of one cooperative one.

I initially asked him if he wanted to do a collaborative patch. He declined.

But now, I don't think I want to work with him, as he is clearly just copying and pasting directly from Platinum, he doesn't know a lick of Japanese, he would only hinder the quality of the patch. Him "somehow" being able to translate the remaining items and locations makes me think he's just stealing them from my patch. My patch is farther along, and will contain much more, so if anything, he should just stop his project all together, no?

That's inefficient, as it would be overwriting a bunch of other data, and there needs to be a proper translation of the new features. Mainly stuff like the PokéGear.

The one thing I do like about his patch is that it's also got the freeze/blackscreen fix.
Maybe you can include that as well? I like yours better, but his using the other fix has me using it. :x

3.0 is about to be released in approximately thirty minutes.

It includes Rudolph's freeze fix, which I can confirm works for the Acekard 2i.

I still don't get why people make translations of games that are due to come out in their own country within months. If you really want to play the Japanese games, then learn Japanese.
Normally with translations taking weeks to months, I'd agree with you.

The fact that he was able to translate nearly the whole thing in a day means that straight from the getgo we're getting the full experience. Because of this, I'd say that what he's doing is AWESOME, and not a waste of time at all.

Finally, it's back up!

Raqib12 is uploading the last 3.0 patch as I post. The 3.0 patches will fix the freezes and blackscreens, thanks to Rudolph's patch. Proper credits to him.

Okay, version 3.0 is uploaded. Well, all patches except... 3.0 Katakana for HeartGold. It keeps giving me the "file cannot be removed" error message. I don't know what's going on, I'll wait until GBATemp is more stable.
