Hi All,

Its my first time on this site. Just wanted to post a thank you to everyone. Using this forum alone I have been able to successfully get pokemon black and white with the english patch on my r4ds card.

It's a bit annoying having everyone's speach in Japanese but its still awesome being able to to understand the rest.

So thanks again to everyone for their hard work!

Also, what exactly is the exp patch? Is the game naturally bugged to not give you proper exp or something?

Perhaps the ROM you are trying to patch is not clean. It may be trimmed or have another patch applied to it.

By "press go" I assume you mean "apply patch"

Or try another version of xdelta, I have two version and with one I wasn't able to patch and with the other I was.

The one I did it with doesn't give you the option to name your patched file.

So far the beta patch isn't worth it, everything reverts back to japanese at some point..
I'll just wait for the full v1 I guess

Did you try going to the Pokemon game, and in 'Options' 5th option down select 'Normal'

Guys, try putting DeltaGUI, xdelta.exe, the clean rom and the patch file on your desktop and then try. Didn't work in a folder, but worked like this for me

I know, I press "apply patch" and nothing happens (nothing =/= freeze, before you suggest me to wait). I've tried at least five different roms, including some that is said to be the clean version.

It is on the first post. It's also almost at the very top and bolded.
"Attention! When you apply the patch and still see Japanese text in the battles/menu etc. Go to 'Options' in the Pokemon game, then the 5th option down select 'Normal'"

The names are in Japanese again. I love it. Can't wait for the final product. Or at least the annoying linebreak and random text problems.

I tried renaming the patch from .patch to .xdelta, and still I get the same error. Can someone -please- tell me whats going on?

You have to use this xDelta DUI version.

I think it has something to do with folders or something, totally random, I don't know. I've been doing the exact same shit, but now it's working.

Anyway, game is pretty fun and the translation project looks amazing. Thanks Project Pokémon!
