can you post a picture
Same place just don't cut the shield and route the wires through top left corner

In order to NOT cut the shield and fit the Picofly RP2040-Zero board:
  • For OLED --> USB + buttons removed and RP2040-zero on top of RAM heatsink (where HWFLY usually sits) --> there's at least 0.5mm distance between the shield and the RP2040 board upon final assembly.
  • For Lite --> USB + buttons removed and RP2040-zero on top of eMMC shield --> it's a perfect pocket when closing the shield, fits well and no pressure to RP board. (If you keep it on top of RAM heatsink, it will create a bump and force the assembly).
  • For V1/V2 --> don't know, will let others to comment.
You can get even a slimmer install if you remove as well the LDO on the back of RP2040.

Always remember to insulate everything (including the sides of the RP2040) with polyimide or similar tape.
I think this info is worth including in the next Definitive Guide update (with addition of the comment from @d.b)

hello dear, thanks for your order, but sorry to tell you that RP2040-Tiny-Kit has small quality problem, factory has recalled the products and reproduce. it need about another 1 month. Could you please extend the delivery time by another 1 month? if you need the products urgently, please cancel the order. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. regards, Gintech team

Same here.

I asked them if there's a SMD value resistors issue near of 26-27-28 points hahaha

CLEAN CUTS! You did that with an exacto-blade?
With a cheap box cutter. First time I applied little presure (to make a dent/path) then did another 2 passes through the same line with alot of pressure. Once you see the marks on the oposite side, just wiggle it 2-3 times and it snaps clean off leaves almost no residue.

You can scratch the insulation off the wire and then apply flux and solder.
You can create a small ball of melted solder on top if the iron and then put the wire in it and hold it for a couple of seconds until the insulation melts. Use temp above 350 for this. Also the ball of solder needs to be "wet" from flux because if the flux has already burned off then it will be much more difficult so you have to be quick about it.

Tried to install picofly, but got blue then pink (purple) light (and on switch got 2101-0001 error code). What could be causing this?
Also, i've used 0.1mm enamel cable for data lines, would it be better or worse if i solder two of that cables on each data line?

if soldering succeed melt to the point(*when the insulation off), is it gonna fall off again ? the solder lead? or gonna sticky good ?

Ok, i understand.
But why microSD after install pico not working?
If your sd cards don't work, you may have done some damage somewhere or directly your card slot is not working correctly.

Just got an update from seller of RP2040Tiny "thanks for your order, but sorry to tell you that RP2040-Tiny-Kit has small quality problem, factory has recalled the products and reproduce. it need about another 1 month."
And now my wait begins...

From the guide: "might be caused by not cleaned flux, bad soldering, lack of resistors, too long wires or too thin wires"
Had the same situation 3 days ago (on V1 unpatched switch). One additional 47R resistor on dat0 line solved the problem.
Maybe it was the wire (38awg single core) but I was too lazy to swap the wire so I tried the resistor first and it worked.
Small quality problem? translation; we misread the guide and are fixing these to have the correct resistors

Sheet metal?
Now I'm curious
more or less thin sheets of metal, like no more than Id say half a mm thick

This looks similar to one of mine I did ages ago. I used scissors too.
I love the yellow kapton tape behind my clear case 🥰👍
