I know this is a known issue, I'm just looking for clarification. I have a phat black elite Xbox 360 system with a non-xbox 250GB HD that I formatted and installed myself. It has the correct partitions to play everything--including original xbox games.
I'm experiencing the slow bootup problem. From what I understand this has to do with a part of the chipset on the sysem's board that is circumvented when you do a usb mod. Could someone please clarify exactly what is the cause of this slow booting time and how it can be remedied without modding the console?
