From what I can see on eBay, $300 seems to be the average going rate.

The only retail store in the US that I could ever imagine might have a n3ds xl at 9.0 would be a place like Costco that sells them in bundles so they don't get sold that often. But even that is a big "if".

There's really no 9.0s left on the shelves any longer, unfortunately. A few people on eBay have some brand new ones guaranteed to be on 9.0 but yea, $300 or so seems to be the going rate. Some people sold them for $350 even.

Are you sure Costco sell N3dsXL? I never saw mine did.

Firmlaunch launches a FIRM other than the system's one. The most obvious use is to launch a game that requires a firmware higher than 9.2 on a 9.2 SysNAND.
On an O3DS you're better off using it with an EmuNAND to run a 9.8 EmuNAND (repeated because again, not SysNAND on 9.8) rather than games on 9.2.

a few hours ago, PastaCFW 1.3 (Beta2) was released.
Because of the FIRMLAUNCH-Feature, you're able to run Games that needs a higher Firmware than 9.3.

You want to know how to run Games that have the new 9.3+ crypto like "Super Smash Bros. for 3DS (Update 1.0.8)?
NOW YOU CAN PLAY THEM ON PASTACFW!

1. Download the newest Version of PastaCFW
2. Download YGW eShop Spoofer
3. Run PastaCFW WITHOUT FIRMLAUNCH (rename or move the FIRM.bin inside of "SD:/3ds/PastaCFW/")
4. Install and run YGW eShop Spoofer
5. Go to the eShop and redownload the newest Patch of your Game (if you have the newest, use the "repair-function" inside of the eshop-download).
6. Your Game/Update should be "cryptofixed" now
7. Run PastaCFW WITH FIRMLAUNCH
8. Start your 9.3+ encrypted Game
