(i'm just brainstorming)(i don't know anything about this option of the luma config, sysmodules is new to me)

My Theory:

-dumps a sysmodule from a unbanned console
-thus changes the consoleID of the banned console
-place it in banned console sd card
-luma config
-the end ?

Questions:

-is this a dummy consoleID ?

If he was referring to what's stored in SecureInfo_A, then that doesn't pertain to this. This doesn't touch it.

So essentially you don't have a clue how it works? Did the person who made it gave you some type of firmware or module?

I know exactly how it works. Others have done something similar, albeit highly impractical. I suspect this won't work for long but we'll see.

If this method requires data from another 3DS, I wouldn't mind learning this.

I'm even considering buying a 2DS for the LFS anyway,
might as well use it's LFS and it's device ID XD (plus I do have other units that I was considering using their data for this)

It's a method that does something similar to the Luma patch by @Nanquitas but is much more sane and secure (at least as far as we can tell).

If this method requires data from another 3DS, I wouldn't mind learning this.

I'm even considering buying a 2DS for the LFS anyway,

Nah, this doesn't directly touch Luma, so it doesn't have to be forked or anything and allows everyone to use the official branches.
