Nitrohax (homebrew Action Replay alternative) now working as a .CIA!

A free alternative to Action Replay cheating devices for Nintendo DS games, Nitrohax, has been released in CIA format to work on the Nintendo 3DS. Download below, and this video made by @Apache Thunder and recorded by @Sasori will show it off!

Also:

Don't forget, that you currently need dev Luma3DS 6.0 or newer CFW and patched TwlBg.cxi before you can use this. So if you get the fat init failed error you don't patched dev launcher yet. More on that here:

and a guide to use it here https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-use-twl_firm_patcher.438703

I have a flashcart, that already has cheats in it, I don't see the need for this personally except for those that don't have a flashcart.

and one person said by xmas we wont need flashcarts anymore lol WHY,, what makes you say that

any idea what the fbi title is?
Hey Steinyamite, just wanted to mention that the title doesn't show up on FBI because Nitrohax is only installed in the NAND since it installs as a DSiWare. So the only way you could remove it is by going to Data Management in System Settings, and tapping on the DSiWare section. You'll find it there. Sorry if I'm a little late to the party since I've managed to come across this issue only yesterday lol. But if you haven't come across a solution yet I hope this helps!

This program doesn't work anymore. It just goes from "insert game cartridge" to wanting to explore my SD card instead of the NDS game i have now put into the 3DS, Soulsilver, for example. Wtf do you mean by "open *xml file"?

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
