Hacking Nintendont

just follow the steps on triforce-iso-extract and after that open the new .bin it creates in gc-tool, extract the segaboot.img1 and rename it to segaboot.bin.
It turns out I was missing chdman ^^; now it's working, thanks.

Edit: It gave me a file called "FACTORYCHECKGC.bin" instead, should I name it "segaboot.bin"?

Edit 2: Nevermind, I extracted "FACTORYCHECKGC.bin" with gcit and found "segaboot.img1" so now I rename it to "segaboot.bin" and it should work, thank you, it's been a while since I ripped the first bios so I'm a little rusty with using riforce-iso-extract.

Nintendont doesn't run Wii games, only Gamecube and Triforce.
thats not what he said... he said both nintendont and wii games need stuff only available in BC mode since they run natively or in nintendont case semi natible in BC mode, wii games on wiiu e shop even tough they are selected on the wiiu menu they dont run in wiiu mode they just restart vwii mode and auto boot the title so yeah nintendont on wiiu mode is very and i mean very unlikely.

I'm still thinking a combination of wii u iosu or at least kernel and some deep end wii shit - maybe not even the wii u shit who knows - could allow for dolphin netplay esque online, mostly bc im desparate for a way to play online sdr/online kar without a computer

I'm still not accepting that it isn't possible. That probably would have been said about gamecube on wii before nintendon't came about. I'm pretty sure all the other gamecube loaders for wii still reboot it into GC mode. Nintendon't is the one that still runs in wii mode.

Among other things, the Wii U mode GPU interface is completely different.
  • Wii's GPU is just an overclocked version of the GameCube GPU.
  • Wii U's GPU is a Radeon R600, which has a completely different register interface. (Wii compatibility is handled using some other mechanism that I'm not sure about, but I'm fairly certain that it isn't usable in Wii U mode.)
So even if the code could run in Wii U mode, you wouldn't get very far with video rendering.

no one said that its impossible but the wii is just an overclocked GC thats why it was able to run in wii mode while the wiiu uses a totaly diferent setup specialy for graphics and shit, well its much more feasible that we can make vwii run with wiiu clock speed and ram rather than getting nintendont into wiiu mode.Alos what would you gain in having nintendont in wiiu mode that you dont on vwii mode? if we ever get iosu we can free vwii and it will give everything we ever needed to vwii nintendont in terms of power and memory and probably gamepad acess.

permissions are not the issue for netplay you could even have all the wiiu locks and shit but it wouldnt work, the wii/wiiu wlan is awfull so even in wiiu mode you dont get enough speed to even get that working, games would desync in seconds, people keep forgetting that a console internet speed is milles slower than a pc one.

that's what you mean by "Wii U mode"? Or do you mean with just kernel exploit, using the native CafeOS only kernel exploit? I don't think that's possible because we don't have access to GX in CafeOS and Nintendont usually runs on the ARM processor, which we don't have access to without IOSU exploit.

Isn't the GameCube's, Wii's and Wii U's CPU a PowerPC CPU?
