It's great to take a Switch outside to play wherever you want.
But when you play a multiplayer splitscreen game, the display is a little bit too small.
That's one but not the only reason why I'm hoping for a Switch XL.

If you're in, please sign my petition here:

https://www.change.org/p/nintendo-n...tch-for-better-multiplayer?recruiter=70766019

The petition is not going to help Nintendo at all. Nintendo isnt going to listen to the petition at all. I dont think they are going with a Switch XL compare to 3DS XL because Nintendo Switch XL would be very expensive.

Oh my gosh, few are vote for mini ? What a ugly... I am against the rumour about Mini like this:

I want a Switch without an adapter and a smaller battery capacity. Then they proceed to sell the old battery for $80 in their stores.

You guys might be right that Ninty doesn't give a f*ck.
But if we raise it a bit maybe at least some online magazines would write about it which could be noticed by Ninty.

Nintendo gives two fucks about the hard work people but into rom hacks or the fans that make these outstanding projects, what makes you think they'd care about a little shitty magazine saying what the fans want when they don't listen to them in the first place?

I think they nailed the biggest Switch screen size they could before it stops being a practical handheld device. No, I don't think there is much of a need for an XL Switch. I can definitely see a mini coming in the future that doesn't have detachable joycons and is rather a self contained porable device, but it would still have the usb-c slot so you could connect it to a a dock (though it wouldn't fit in the available official dock Nintendo currently has). I could also see a self contained unit that perhaps costs a little less that lacks the ability to be picked up and brought on the go with you and can only plug into your TV.

Dude, Nintendo didn't give a fuck about the Mother 3 Localization petition, and that was 31k+ signatures.
What makes you think they would do a whole revision of the current console based on signatures this time? :P

I swear, people will make a petition for anything these days. If you make a petition, make sure it's for something meaningful.

PSVita anyone?

I mean I guess... I suspect any single screen solid single unit portable in this day and age would inevitably look similar to a Vita, though thankfully Nintendo has the offset analogue sticks so the layout would still be different for sure in that respect (not to mention having proper LZ and RZ triggers).

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
