The real question is, will there be a Mario "SWAROVSKI amiibo EDITION"? I'd totally buy that. Should come together with a Wii U wrapped in lambskin and a Wii U GamePad cast in 24k gold.

If true, then this totally blows. I think it's safe to say it won't be a Club Nintendo exclusive. (Where's the Club Nintendo branding on the packaging if that were true?)

That does blow. I'd like some kind of chance to pre-order but being Target a US retailer there's no chance for it to happen.

I really hope they don't make exclusive Club Nintendo games anymore (e.g. Game & Watch Collection for Nintendo DS). And do we really need even more GameCube controllers? I'd much rather have equal opportunity as everyone else in buying amiibo as well. Exclusive amiibo is not good no matter what way you slice it.

That said, I'm still waiting for the swarovski edition. A wealthy man needs his amiibo, too.

The figures are glorified Happy Meal toys so it's not as if it costs Nintendo that much to produce them, as such, there'll probably too be a shortage of amiibo cards.

UK retailers (Amazon, ShopTo, Zavvi, TheHut, Nintendo Store, Games Centre, etc) have them up for pre-order, some have them while others have run out of stock.

I'll want one amiibo of this series and that's none other than, Rosalina!
