Yes, actually, it is.
I brought the image into Photoshop and messed around, and also found the troll face. And if you tilt your screen while looking at the original, you can see it as well.
SO, the troll face means it is a hoax or joke? Lol, somebody on wiidev called sven a troll;-) Random when I mentioned sven's twitter directing somebody to #wiiudev, somebody called him a troll. FUNNY, maybe another hint about the diagram.

And every pixel matters, as might the days and how they relate...
Ah never mind.

My random guess is that the little question mark in the corner is Nintendo's private key, like the original Wii I think that was the only thing that was never discovered?

This is of course complete guessing and saying that they have discovered how to shoot rainbows out of the Wii-U would be nearly as valid.

I get part of it.
Two teams, one being fail0verflow, were working on the Wii U separately, then met up at 29c3 or before that and... something Wii U related happened (as signified by the ?) But we already guessed that.
I wish they would just be less cryptic about it.

Ahhh, no. A is arm, b is broadway, rest is speculation.

But doesn't the Wii U lack the ARM CPU? I've read that somewhere...
And isn't your post speculation too?
Plus, the Wii U CPU isn't even called Broadway is it? So it must be Wii Mode related if they really are referring to that. Which could only mean they gained Gamepad access in Wii mode, as all other aspects about it are hacked. Unless they gained Wii U NAND access from Wii mode...

This is all just raising more questions :(

Probably 'cause they're messing with us, and getting a chuckle out of releasing something vague.
You sure you're not the one with the troll face?
Well, I'll bite. *loads up photoshop*

I found it :P

Paint Bucket with Contiguous turned off.
But the only thing this means is that they're being cryptic just to annoy us. It doesn't mean they didn't hack anything. But it could. :S

Davebaol already noted that Comex told us where the A and B stand for:
<@comex> I'll ruin the fun: A is PPC, B is ARM.
So the clue was really easy to guess, besides what the A and B actually stand for... until now.

Also, I think the Trollface is just an 'easter egg', I mean when I do stuff I always have the urge to hide an 'easter egg' somewhere too. :P

Just out of curiosity, and a bit off topic.. but why are keys Sha-1 hashes?
I mean there are other choices out there, why did every (secured) console so far got us Sha-1 hashes?

I know that it doesn't matter in terms of hacking and getting the keys, because otherwise... you know.. there sure is someone out there who has already hacked the Sha-1 encryption, secretly.
And therefore it would be a stupid choice for security.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
