Hi guys,
I've been late here trying to fix the problem.
Finally in my case, it was not the charging chip. What I did was connect the battery and the charger. When turning on it did not turn on. I was disconnecting all the flexes 1 by 1. Finally when I disconnected the flex from the camera, the black one, the console turned on. I connected everything again except the camera and magic! the console turned on. I got a new camera on ebay and now my console is alive again

I'm assuming charge ic isn't dead while daughter is rip?
Might be. Have a look as well at the ribbon between the 2 boards, the ribbon connectors on both cards. There could be "invisible" damage if not removing and checking the ribbon.

Hello everyone, I had a problem with my New 3DS XL because of a mistake I made, I reversed the battery when I was doing maintenance, I changed the daughter board, it worked, however, it did not charge the battery anymore, it only worked connected to the power.

I had an idea, but I wanted to see if there was someone who had already done the same to be sure if it would work, but I didn't find anything, I decided to take a chance and it worked, 3DS completely repaired, what I did was install one of these TP4056 modules, there are already 2 I've been using it for months and it's charging normally.

I'll post a picture of how I did it

Obviously, behind the plaque, it is isolated so as not to touch the motherboard directly and I removed the USB port from the TP4056 module so that the height was low and it could fit comfortably when closing the 3DS.

yes that works, but please insulate that chip or you will potentially short something on the MB

Currently i charge the battery external using this module also. TP4056 charge the battery at 4.2v 1~A constant i think thats too high amp because took faster to charge compare charging normally. (Base on my memories cant really verify this. Correct me if im wrong).

Does your current setup has any problem? Like playing while charge works? Does the battery puffing long term? Im thinking doing the same as you too.

Mine current 3DS problem it wont accept charge. The orange light come up like 3 second and gone. I think

I decided to open it and try install the TP4056 inside too. Before that i check the diode and fuse, both are ok, reseat the ribbon. and give it another try before doing the procedure..... Works fine now. the ribbon is loose i guess

Update (20/2/2021): It happened again. idk what the problem anymore. cant fix using previous method anymore

I hate ordering stuff online if I can go buy it somewhere close to me, and everywhere anymore will give you a discount only if you order it online, bs. Should be a discount if I go pick it up, not order online.

I love it for most things most stores you just shows the receipt online and they scan it

Mostly for big purchases, I want it in my hands before I pay. Like a tv, I trust picking it up myself, before I'd trust it being sent thru mail/delivery. (Broken screen, etc) But yea if I can order online, then pickup at store is ok, but not all places offer that.

Thing is, if you break it driving back to your house, it's your fault. But if the delivery driver damages it, it's not your fault.
