I've seen quite a few mentions of the screen's on the new 3DS bleeding into one another - Either the top bleeding to the bottom or vice versa.
I was fortunate and don't have this issue but one of my friends N3DS' does. He called Nintendo and has sent it in for repair. Nintendo stated that this is a workmanship defect and they will fix any units that have the issue.
Just wanted to mention it here for anyone interested. Keep in mind that if you send in your N3DS for repair that Nintendo will most likely update your unit to the latest firmware.
