Found my old 3DS XL today, only to be greeted with insane stick drift. Weirdly enough, the drift would stop whenever i got into a match in SSB3DS, but then would continue when it finished. Any suggestions?
My 3DS XL has serious drift. How could i fix it with the most minimal amount of effort?

I've never even heard of drift on a 3DS. Have you tried any other games? Is there even drift on the Home menu?
The most common problem of this variety is dirt at the edge of the touchscreen, but even that doesn't typically manifest as "drift".

I bought a pair of joy cons for really cheap, but the right side wasn't being detected by the console when attached to it, it was charging though -

I took a look at the rail and noticed that the two last pins were soldered for some reason, luckly I still had the rail of my broken joycon so after I swapped them I was able to use it attached to the console

I'm pretty sure I know the reason it was soldered, but I don't know why someone would do that directly on the joycon
