No I didn't, was under the impression you had to visit once to load the exploit then again to launch HBL.

Incorrect. Might've been updated since you visited last, but all it takes is one visit to load into HBL/loadiine/etc.

Self hosting with my raspberry pi works 100% too (using the php script from loadiine.ovh. Plus I can update HBL and loadiine to nightlies)

Not at all, it's temporary so as soon as you reset/power down its gone but you can even play while the exploit is loaded if you want.

No, only SD card. USB loading needs IOSU Exploit but that's never likely to happen.
