Homebrew Mario Kart Wii NTSC-U version on Softmii

I have a softmii'd wii.

I want to know, is it dangerous to do the UPDATE for mario kart wii, for the NTSC usa version?

If so, I won't do it. But, I just wanted to know if the disc update was able to be passed, and also allow online play? Will it brick or disable it?

If your wii actually does have SoftMii on it then you should have installed starfall to block disk updates. If you didnt select that option, run starfall again and select all the hacks you want plus block disk updates.

You can also patch the ISO with this software

to remove the update from the image altogether.
