Gaming Laptop Harddrive

Well, my cousin is going to give me her old laptop from 4 years ago. I plan to take the HDD out of it and use it to put stuff on it. So what can I use to I can hook it up to a computer and put stuff on it? Sata to USB or something?

a 2.5" external enclosure would be what you are looking for

edit: check the HD when you get it to see if it is SATA or IDE (or wait for someone more knowledgeable on hard drive timelines to estimate which it is)
