Hacking Japanese WADs on a US Wii?

Hello,
Is it possible to play Japanese WADs on a US Wii, If it's softmodded?
Would like to use it to help me study Japanese.

Yes, it's possible, just be sure to adjust the settings as mentioned above and force the correct video mode. Do not change the Wii's region by installing an out-of-region System Menu WAD or system-critical WAD's though as it might lead to a soft brick on certain models (Korean-made Wii's), installing games should be fine.
