I have been getting roms ready for my R4 and recently found a pretty cool site.
So, I have been getting my roms but noticed their file sizes were extremely small so im thinking they might already be trimmed. Here are examples:

0026_Pokemon_Dash_USA_NDS - 15mb
0735_Castlevania_Portrait_Of_Ruin_USA_NDS-XPA - 65mb

Are they already trimmed? Or are these unsafe files?

Are those the sized of the zip file or the actual .nds file?
The only one that appears to be trimmed is the first one. Castlevania PoR is 65mb , atleast in my folder.

Thats the actual NDS file. I also know another site and their roms seem to be pretty small too.

Filename: 0578 - Pokemon Diamond (Japan)(WRG)(AE2DB9A9).zip
Filesize: 26.8MB (not the actual ds file since i havent downloaded it yet)

Im pretty sure the site i was using is safe since it has a load of roms and daily updates =\

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
