My slow Wi-Fi saved me, but since April 6 or 7 my Wii U tells me there's a System Update, I looked for it in Google and 2 Nintendo official pages (one in Spanish and the other on English) from April 5 appeared, so, is it real? and, I know this would be a thread for Homebrew section, but, is my hacked Wii U running danger if it ever updates to it? or it an update to screw up my hacked Wii U?

The last update was for only people with a European WiiU it came out July 2019 and was because of some new European law or something. Its perfectly safe to update to it and all homebrew will work perfectly fine on it

It appears every Time when my HDD with the Wii U Games is connected.

The Wii U is on Coldboot Haxchi and the DNS are set like in the Hacking Guide suggested.

If there is a update, it's usually listed on nintendo's support page with patch notes on what was done and the date it was pushed to the server.

When I looked up for it on Google, this appeared

https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Support/.../Latest-system-update-information-677417.html
I mean, it says nothing about a new update, but the Google result tells me it is from April 5 (or 4?) and the top page part that says "Latest Information Update" was added that date, I think.

Maybe I'm just overthinking everything but, my Wii U actually tells me there's an update and I'm up to date I think.

what version do you have installed now?
5.5.3 latest for US and 5.5.4 for EU

5.5.3 U, just checked.

That happens because you are blocking updates. What happens is the WiiU every few weeks automatically checks to see if there is a new update. Because you are blocking updates the check the WiiU does fails and gives that message. Its a problem that has been known about since the early days of WiiU hacking. You can clear the message by pulling out the power cord and leaving it out for about 10 secs but the message will come back a few weeks later

Well honestly, you're "Support" page looks different than the one I use. But according to the page, 5.5.4 E is the latest update.

Though the page I use actually list the date it was pushed to server.

Like I said above the 5.5.4 update only came out in Europe because of some new European privacy law that came out last year. It was only so Nintendo were compliant with the new law.
