Not just forwarders, I mean full disc games as WADs. For example, Animal Crossing City Folk and New Super Mario Bros. Wii were ~300MB, which could likely fir on the 512MB of Wii's storage. And if not, what about Super Mario All-Stars 25th anniversary edition?

No. The Wii's amount of storage is small.

And also think about this. Do you think a 5 gigabyte game can be packed down into a wad?

You basically get 4 GB of storage on the Wii. 2.5 of it is used by the system. So, in terms, yes... But the game you would install would need to be under a GB. Name one Wii game under a GB. None. So, no. But the conversion from .WBFS/.ISO is possible.

I recall it as being 512MB available, and games are smaller than that - New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Animal Crossing City Folk, the Super Mario All Stars port are all small enough to fit.

Now you know why I try to stay out of any thread about any system other than 3ds/ds. I'm not the most knowledgeable person here on the Wii. So, you do get somewhere around 1 GB of total user space. Unless you hardmod the system.
