That's seriously... huge  Is it full of games inside?? So the XMB can view over 100 stuffs inside the memory card?
Yeah. I got alot of games ans well as music and movies.
I don't know the upper limit, but you could always use a plugin to categorize things into folders.
I don't. So far no problems.
Everything is running good still, although I am down to about 2gb.

^ LMAO!!! I want to see if Foxi4 is graceful enough to admit his wrongs. (...) Nothing personal against you Foxi4 but this is not the first time you argued like this, look what it did to you at the end. I would appreciate you toning down your attitude towards others just a tad bit, again it's just an advice, feel free to ignore it and continue with your ways. :)
Bit late to answer, but hey.

I've been proven wrong so I edited my posts to reflect that. I was lead to believe that it won't work by PhotoFast, as they do state that each slot accepts up to 16GB for a grand total of 32GB of storage capacity. The fact that it does work is sort of a lucky fluke, but a fluke that I won't question. :)

I'm a big boy, I can admit that I've made a mistake provided I am proven wrong. ;)

Not sure why so many people have a hard time understanding the reason for so much space on a portable device. There are several hundreds of gigs worth of videos and music I can think of to throw on my psp. Hell, my music collection *alone* is over 300 gigs! I've got 1.5TB worth of videos and movies. It's not about trying to enjoy everything at once, It's about choice and being able to access anything at any time.

The PSP is a godawful DAP, especially from Sony who have some of the best sounding players in their Walkman range. I wouldn't be without a means to play MP3's but the PSP isn't great, with it's tagging and organisational issues, plus it's format limitations (no, transcodes are not acceptable for me, and as a video player the PSP falls here too) making even cheaper MP3 players potentially preferable (and that's ignoring size and battery issues)

How often are people unable to change the contents of their memory stick at the end of a day? How much content is really necessary? I'm a 4GB stick user and honestly, whilst perhaps at times i might have liked an extra gig or two, not being ADHD about content really isn't that challenging. Two 4GB sticks with different content has never let me down.

Plus i've never understood the insanity that makes people unable to tolerate the soft mod options for the PSP ("It takes so many seconds to resume from sleep/reinitialise the CFW") but fine with the inevitable XMB lag that goes hand in hand with larger Memory Sticks.

The lag on a PSP with larger cards can be reduced by using the game category plugin and splitting everything up into smaller folders. When I first got my 128GB i my PSP, i had games all in one folder and yes, the lag was terrible on the XMB. However, once i split the games up over half a dozen folders, then the PSP more or less went back to normal. Its now the best bit of kit ive had.

I find it fine for music, you can get 10 hours of MP3 playback with plugins etc so thats all fine. Ive got about 120 ISOs on mine, 30 or so PSX games, DDR, emulators, about 400 MP3s and at one time, about 4 or 5 movies. Not to mention internet radio etc.

Ive got just under 3GB left over now, and thats reserved for FF Type 0 when the translation is complete and that will be it, the ultimate PSP

Out of curiosity, how is the Vita for video playback in terms of picture quality and image brightness? Better than Vita? Hows the battery life for videos as well?

Its nice to see that it works but with the 32GB SD card it already makes the loading times from enable/disable USB connection mode prolonged. 32Gb is enough anyways.

hey guys, i want to ask some question regarding games. I used this adapter
Code:
http://www.rocksoftech.com/memory-cards/microsdhc-to-ms-pro-duo-dual-slot-adapter.html
(kind of combining two SD cards into one like a JBOD style or RAID0 Stripping configuration). I got mine with 2 SDXC 64GB cards making it 118GB on PSP!

Now here's the problem, my PSP got like 150+ games with game data of 12 of them I guess and some homebrews and emulators of 5 of them so total of around 180 entries, but the problem here is, it doesnt show all of this. I got all games stored ISO displayed in Game Category but Homebews and some PS1 games didnt show. In first, it's like maybe there some kind of problem with adapter, so I checked the data and all of them actually (took 1hour to CRC check them) and actually all files are good (CRC matched) so im totally clueless only 120 entries are displayed.

any suggestion or tips will be appreciated. Thank You.

I created an account just to comment on this thread. I have the cr-5400, and attempted to do this mod from this forum discussion. it appears that it is a necessity to use class 6 or higher micro sd cards. class 4 (which i purchased) do not work, as once they are formatted, the psp states "no memory card inserted". tried using 3 different formatting programs (hp usb tool, fat32format, and swissknife) and none would work when plugged into the psp. I tested this with a spare class 4 8gb card that i used in my phone, that has been verified working for years. popped in my spare class 6 micro sd and psp can format and recognize the media fine. tis unfortunate, but i guess im just going to have to repurpose these as flash drives and get some class 6 micro sd cards in the mean time.

I just bought a 32gb micro sd and memory stick pro duo adapter off Amazon. It should work fine for being able to load ISO's and stuff just like my original 8gb Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo, right?

Homebrew applications and PSX games (after converting them to the POPS format) should be in the Game folder, not the ISO folder. Each needs to have an individual folder with its EBOOT file and misc. junk in it.

Additionally there may be an imposed limit on the number of entries in the system menu - to combat that, you use the Category plugin, but use that as a last resort because I'm not sure if there is such a limit and whether or not it's editable - I'd ask xist, he knows his PSP's alright. ;)

Are the UHS Class 1 cards the same as Class 10?
Because I was checking this (french), and it says that the speed is UHS Class 1/Class 10.
Also, am I able to get 128 Gb with this adapter?
The images are the same from page 2 of this thread, but I'm asking just to be sure.

thanks for the suggestion, I just did your suggestion yesterday and all things are fine now, now my PSP got like 7 memory cards (I used the Game Categories plugin) I did split it into many folder like

CAT_Minis
CAT_PSP_Games
CAT_Homebrews
CAT_Emulators
CAT_PS1_Games
CAT_PCE_TGFX

I just use the CAT prefix method so all folders that doesnt have CAT_ prefix on them will go under to Uncategorized, like all my DLC since you cant categories DLC anyway since if I do the game wont detect the game data.

Again thanks for the reply.

Yes and no. You may face two problems,

* SDXC actually has two versions, 3.0 and 4.0. Older version is basically SDHC + exFAT while newer version is something completely different + exFAT. You can use older version but not the newer version. I don't know which version that particular card is using.
* MSPD to microSD adapter has variable performance across the board. It either works, works but in lower capacity, works but in slower speed, or doesn't work. Worst case it can kill your microSD card. Sony never published MSPD specification so no one came up with a 100% working solution. It'll be more of a lottery draw. If it doesn't work go ahead and buy another one till you find one that it works.
