Homebrew Installing titles: FBI vs. GodMode9

Now that GM9 can install anything, it seems there is an overlap with installing titles via FBI. What is everyone's favorite method and why? As a relative CFW noob, I love and am very grateful for all the incredible work going on with these releases but am a bit confused by this overlap (and I found at least one case where GM9 refused to even list an option to install a title but FBI worked perfectly for it). It seems there are some differences but I can't really find a general up-to-date overview of this topic.

Probably FBI since people are used to that.

FBI is good when you want to install CIAs and your 3DS is turned on. GM9 is good for installing CIAs, NDS and some other files, mainly if you have your 3DS off. It'll take you less time.

Maybe if you want to install some DSiWare in NDS without having to convert it to CIA, there's GM9. Or you have some 3DS games in any other filetype than CIA, you'll use GodMode9 then.
